Design and Installation

Brief: Create vintage holiday lighting design for a traditional European style annual Christmas market for this popular historic Toronto landmark.

Style: The style is mid 20th century using vintage lighting fixtures to create a nostalgic feel.

A really fun project even though I am not fond of the cold. The research was wonderful, I found myself immersed in beautiful images of European markets and 1950’s Santa Claus parades. Using the vintage bulbs (admittedly not very energy efficient) was the what really brought that nostalgic feel to life.
